I spent about 20 minutes putting them up. I don't know why I did not tackle this sooner. I thought it would take far longer than 20 minutes. I think they need some tie backs and maybe some sort of crown molding looking valance. At any rate they are the blackout kind and his room is very dark! I will let everyone know how this works out.

That looks great! We have blackout shades (from Pottery Barn Kids) in both of the kids' rooms and they are FANTASTIC. When we travel I can't get over how early they wake up. You will be very happy, I think.
